Apple Sauce Bread Pudding (Makes 8-10 servings)
10 slices Italian or French bread, cubed and divided
1 jar (24oz.) White House Chunky Apple Sauce
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
Whipped topping (optional)

Preheat oven to 325 F. Place half of the bread cubes in a greased 11 x 7 x 2-inch baking dish. Spoon White House Chunky Apple Sauce over bread and sprinkle with nutmeg. Top with remaining bread cubes.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla. Pour egg mixture over bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake, uncovered, for 50-60 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Serve with whipped topping if desired.
